We were spies!!

Anyways, before I left the house...Mommy said, "You look like a farm girl!!!" Bah. I think because I dreamt of being a farmer the night before.

Hehe!!
I was sent undercover....To search for information, raw in action!
Alrights. Enough of all the blabbering.
Okay, what happened was....5 yee's friend wants some reviews on her restaurants. So as a favour (and also the free meal), I went as an undercover reviewer! And since it was Hong Kong food, I brought my dear Lily along!
Both of us met up really late. As usual.

The thing I like about going out with her is....We're always late.
So I don't feel guilty or anything. Bah.
Anyhow, I chose to do the review at the Takashimaya outlet.
We walked up to the entrance. I stood there, browsing through the menu.
We waited for someone to attend to us. Apparently, those waitresses were busy inside chatting away.
Review #1:
The staff are not alert to customers at the door.
When one finally came out, she gave me a black face. Like, bah, did I steal her husband or something? Or she showered her face in charcoal? Because it really shows!

Review #2:
The waitress doesn't make us feel welcome.
Next thing, Lily and I were brought to a rather bad seat. We were cramped in between two tables, even though there were other empty seats.
Me: Excuse me, I would like to switch our seat to over there please.

I even smiled! Bah! She gave me that you-stole-my-husband-charcoal-showered black face again!!! How dare she?!
When we got to our next seat, Lily tried to make herself feel better I think.
Lily: Oh look! We got a window seat!!

We were just seated next to the glass panel.
Suddenly, two waitresses came over. One China national, another Singaporean. They literally fought over the table. I was quite...

yes, shocked. I mean, do they earn according to comission?? Bah.
The China national gave the Singaporean waitress a nasty glare. I was so tempted to be patriotic for a moment and do something for a fellow Singaporean!

Anyhow, the Singaporean waitress just withdrew and walked away.
The China national gave me a grim smile and offered to take my order.
Me: Do you know if you have any ongoing promotions?
She: 天啊!她讲英文啊!我不会讲英文!你回来此后她!(Heavens! She is speaking English! I don't know how to speak English! You come back and attend to her!)
Geez. I got even more annoyed.
First, she doesn't know how to speak basic English. Second, she obviously doesn't possess any proper service skills!!
Seriously, it is one thing to be back in your country doing this. And another thing doing this in my country!!!

Not that I have anything against China nationals. But if they don't know how to live up to a proper kind of standard, please don't try to tarnish our reputation with tourists.
I mean, what if I were a tourist?? I would be downright disgusted!!
This waitress doesn't speak decent English. And she goes around exclaiming her incompetence like as if the world owed her a living. Bah. How annoying.
Review #3:
China national waitress doesn't possess proper English nor etiquette skills.
The Singaporean waitress came back and served us. I was very happy with her! Not that I am bias toward my own country!! Seriously, she was very friendly and sweet.

At least it sort of made up for the previous turn-off.
Review #4:
Singaporean waitress very knowledgeable about the menu & is polite.
Later on, the supervisor brought our utensils over.
She literally said out in almost a scolding tone, “面谁吃的?!” (Who is eating noodles?!)
Bah.

I was literally very disgusted.
Lily: Why do I feel like I'm getting scolded for eating noodles?
Review #5:
Supervisor doesn't have basic mannerism.
Anyways, look at the delights we ordered!!
One of my top favourites!
Thousand layer toufu!!
Rice rolls?
White sauce cheese baked rice!
Mango sago desert!
And...the bill.
Which usually makes people quite upset. Especially with such horrid service. But I was doing a job! So therefore, I would be reimbursed.

Not so bad.
As I called for the bill, the supervisor serviced me. I wasn't very sure of her name, and I had to include it in my report.
Me: Sorry, who is the supervisor today?
She: Me! Me!

Like as if she has anything to be proud of. That loser.
Then I guess her little brain managed to gather some hints together. She sort of suspected something.
She:

Wait, you are.....
Me: Nobody. Bye.
Then as Lily and I sauntered our way out of the restaurant, I walked past her whilst she was talking to another waitress.
She: Oh no!! They really sent people over! And it was them!!!
Ha! I almost felt a sadistic smirk on my face.
I don't know if it was because of the horrid service, my eyes hurt a whole lot.
We walked over to Ion for a little browsing. And I really couldn't take the pain in my eye! So we went to the toilet where I tried to fix my contacts.
Lily had the courtesy to take pictures of the process.
Bah! But it still hurt.
I think because of the new solution I soak my contacts in. Not working for me!
Anyhow, I do like Ion! Very grand and classic.
Though the washrooms are a tad troublesome to go to.
And the interactive directory!
I didn't see Lily for a super long time. I seriously missed her.
Here, we tried to take picture at the same time together.
This is why a proper digital camera is always better than a camera phone.
These shots were already taken in night mode, with flash!!
And Lily took pictures of me dancing.

She likes this because she felt it was soo...Hmm, wind in my hair thingy. Bah.
We went for long walks around town. Chatting and catching up on lost times.
We went to shops to shop! Wells, duh. We stopped by O2 Skin, and their crazy cheap sale!
I bought till I got the membership. I was quite determined to get it! Hehe. Though I was quite bummed

when it was just a paper card, with stamps on it.
No dinner for us, because we ate our lunch at 4.30....
We did have a night snack though!
I used to think this place was something unique. But then, somehow the ambience just felt cheap and old.
Guess it is the maintainence problem.
There is dear Lily SMSing her baby!
There I was looking through loads of advertisements.
Supper delight!
Thanks to Lily for accompanying me to 'work'! Hehe!
I had loads of fun spending time with her!!
We should really go out more often! Heh.
Alrites. I'm tired from 'work'.
